animation_starting_opacity=&#8220;100%&#8220;]<strong>By: Heather Denny<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good coffee, sugar and alcohol- what\u2019s not to like?\u00a0 For those of your who have an espresso machine at home, this is certainly something you should try.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<strong>carajillo<\/strong>\u00a0is a coffee based drink with Spanish origins. It\u2019s historically a small, strong coffee combines with either brandy, whisky, anisette or rum.\u00a0 Legend has it that it originated on the island of Cuba at the time when it was still under Spanish control.<\/p>\n<p>There are several different ways of making the Carajillo and the version you receive depends on where you are.<\/p>\n<p>The American version of a Spanish coffee uses a heated sugar rimmed Spanish coffee mug with\u00a020ml rum and\u00a010\u00a0ml triple sec.
